Greeting the fleet

Greeting The Fleet

24th June 1942 We’ve reached Iceland. Two destroyers racing around like excited Greyhounds, at 30 knots sterns digging deep as maximum power turns the screw. Bloody show-offs, still it’s good to see them. Hard to be scared in the face of such bravado. Getting cold though.

1.2M x 68cm Acrylic on canvas. Unframed £400.
